Please read: the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements lists 350 mg/day as the adult upper limit for magnesium from supplements unless a healthcare provider advises otherwise. A full serving of this product is above that. High intakes can cause diarrhea, nausea and cramping, and magnesium can interact with some medications. Check with your doctor or pharmacist before use. Adults only.

Frequently asked questions

How do I take it?

The labeled serving size is 2 capsules. Follow the directions on your bottle or your healthcare professional's advice.

Why several forms of magnesium?

Different magnesium compounds differ in how well they are absorbed. The NIH notes that forms such as aspartate and citrate are more easily absorbed than some others. This label combines eight forms; the amount of each is not disclosed, and more forms do not by themselves mean better results.

Is 1,000 mg a lot?

Yes. It is above the 350 mg/day upper limit the NIH sets for supplemental magnesium in adults. Ask your healthcare provider what intake is right for you.

Who should not take it?

It is labeled for adults only. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have kidney disease or take medication (for example antibiotics, bisphosphonates or diuretics), talk to your doctor first.
